The finish on our Onyx cabinets is achieved through a multistep process. We begin first by staining the cabinets with our Sienna finish. Once dried, a think layer of black stain is applied over top of the Sienna color. Then we hand burnish a few edges to reveal a slight trace of the Sienna stain and natural wood color underneath. A final, low luster topcoat is then applied before a final oven-curring to provide a strong and lasting finish. It is a unique, custom look that works in both modern and antique inspired kitchens, it is the very definition of the shabby-chic look.

Our Onyx finish adds an additional 15% to the standard price of each piece due to the additional hand work that is required to produce it. It is only offered on our Maple wood cabinets.
