VELUX curb mounted skylights are designed to be used where a site-built curb is present. Curb mounted skylights consist of an insulated glass lens sealed into a protective metal frame mountable on top of a site-built curb. VELUX flashing (shingle roofs only) is installed around the site-built curb. Then the skylight is mounted onto the flashed curb and fastened into place. When you are looking for replacement skylights for your old plastic bubble units, curb mounted skylights provide the easiest solution.
