Velux utilizes the latest technology in producing their own insulated glass to ensure that it meets the hightest efficiency standards. This ensures that Velux products provide unparalleled protection against heat gain and heat loss, fading and condensation. Velux glass is also superior to plastic because it is more energy efficient, more durable, and reduces external noises (rain). Also, unlike plastic it will not discolor, leak or allow drafts.

Also refered to as "Clean, Quiet, & Safe Glass, complient with all building codes for out of reach installs. Reduces outside noise up to 25% more than double pane glass, and up to 50% more than plastic skylights.	Impact is our toughest glass. It is resistant to penetration from wind-borne debris.	Snowload glass is reinforced to withstand the added weight from accumulated snow.	Tempered glass is our base-line glass type available only on FCM, VCM, and QPF models.
